Costa Maya, Mexico

We started our vacation and left Utah early Saturday morning, lay over in Dallas, then to Miami-

Sunday brought waiting around while trying to figure out the shuttle to the port---we finally arrived and got through customs and on board. It was really neat to stand at the front of the ship watching as we headed out to sea.

Monday we sailed all day, doing various activities on the ship and eating our hearts out.

Tuesday we woke to Costa Maya, Mexico. We boarded a tour bus along with all of Trevor's relatives, and 2 hours later arrived at Kohunlich Mayan Ruins:

This was amazing! It's so green and lush, and you could see some other ruins in the far distance-

Like I said this was amazing---it was great to go with all the relatives too, and to think about the times of the scriptures and the connections with the people. We got to see some of the culture while traveling through the towns to the site and we thought that is was very neat to see that there was a small LDS meetinghouse out there. It was funny 'cause the whole bus ride, everyone kept asking Trevor if 'this is what Colombia was like' and 'what does_____ mean?'--his reply to the latter, "Why don't you ask KC, he served in this area (meaning Mexico)." I think they were just excited to see what was around them and find a connection.
